- Fill a large pot with water and add a 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil.
- Carefully add the frozen pierogi to the boiling water. Stir gently to prevent them from sticking together.
- Boil the pierogi for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the top. Once they float, let them cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Drain
- Add fried onions, toss and enjoy.
Optional, for added crispiness
1. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
2. Place the boiled pierogi in the skillet in a single layer.
3. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
